Thank you for coming to this page! I hope you are enjoying the book, The Dandelion and learning ways to create and maintain a successful business.
All brands evolve over time and that's not a surprise - they have to!
Here are some fun examples of how Beyond the Classroom has branded it's tutoring services since 1998.
This beauty is from 2003!
I was already "in business" for 5 years when this came out.
This would have been given out at displays or events.
As you can see, the schoolhouse logo has been launched at this time.
We have also been offering the first session free from the inception of the company and continue to do it to this day.
Here you can see this is a photo of my son, "cultivating" some plants.
We continue to use some of this wording because it is relevant today.
One major faux pas is the mixing of fonts, so it's hard to tell what font is associated with the brand.
Well, this was one of my biggest mistakes which ran for about a year and I invested a lot of money before I noticed the MAJOR typo...
As you can see, the branding is mainly black and white. I also used some brown in for the flyers. The font is also different than it is today.
As you can see, the branding has changed yet again!
The "schoolhouse" logo remains the same and is unchanged today, however the background is a mauve.
We have kept the font relatively consistent over the years.
In the book, The Dandelion, I mention that someone approached me about my display looking "professional" who was a franchise consultant - this is the display sign he was looking at.
This postcard was created in 2015 when Beyond the Classroom had it's first franchise location.
As you can see, we moved into a colourful brand that is engaging and eye-catching.
The font is a little more refined and the schoolhouse logo is the same as it is in 2022.
